22 or 6.5 Creedmore for Moose and Elk?

Shout out to our Creemore fans. QUESTION: Is a 6.5CM or a 22CM the ideal Elk hunting rifle? Do you use one to hunt big game? If so, which game animals. How has it performed for you?

Ticks in the US and Lyme disease

Interesting article and maps. Looks like the NE US is the problem area. I've spent a lot of time the last few months working on my hunting property in central Oklahoma and have been eaten up with ticks.

416 REM

Hey everyone I had been thinking I was going to take my 375 with me next year to Africa however I have been considering getting a 416 in a earlier thread I did asking about the 416 Taylor id mentioned a labrum issue with my shoulder. I’m looking to be able to shoot what I want while managing long term issues that may arise.

As many have said the 375 has killed everything in the continent but I’m curious if a 416 rem can be loaded to handle DG with the 350gr bullets.

Gunsmith for Double rifle issue

I have a 1925 William Evan 470 NE boxlock that when both barrels have been fired is very hard to open. I believe it is due to firing pin drag. Cartridge examination suggests this. I took the firing pin out and examined them in an optical comparator, along with the spare pins under the grip cap, and found two nose profiles. One is spherical or parabolic and the other is a bit more blunt nosed. The rifle exhibits the same issue regardless of the combination of firing pin I use. I wonder if I...
